The gay community will take a break from being disappointed in "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and lack of equal marriage rights Tuesday night to celebrate the gayest Halloween event in decades:
The "Rocky Horror" episode of FOX's "Glee."
"We're really trying to nail that demographic," said Michael Thorn, head of development at FOX.
"We'd love to have Liza Minelli putting a tiara on Neil Patrick Harris while he's getting a handy from Ashton Kutcher, but this'll do for now."
Thorn is hoping the episode will help cross generational gaps, exposing gay teens to the 1977 cult classic about alien transvestites with ambiguous morals and a love of campy musical numbers.
"And old queens get to meet Curt." said Thorn.
Not everyone in the gay community is happy about the event, though.
"It's not fair," said RuPaul Andre Charles, star of RuPaul's Drag Race on Logo. "They already have the rights to 'Rocky Horror.' You know how much I'd have to pay to do 'Grease'?"
RuPaul was not alone in his criticism, either.
"Dear God," said Tim Curry, star of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Home Alone 2," after a screening.
"I'm sorry, but that's just too gay."
